I created Infastory as a fun way to challenge myself to improve and learn new web development skills. The website is primarily built with PHP and MySQL and utilizes JavaScript, jQuery, and Bootstrap.

Users can create a personalized account with a profile photo, description, and other details. They have the ability to search and add new friends, message users in a one-on-one chat, make posts to other users, and post on their own newsfeed. Each user’s newsfeed is limited to posts made by themselves and their friends. Every photo that is posted by any user is added to a separate database table that stores all images and post descriptions onto their newsfeed. The image details can be edited and viewed in a responsive lightbox gallery. Users can also comment on each other’s posts.
